We are a 501c3 charitable foundation dedicated to the preservation of Lake Zurich's natural areas through education, volunteerism, supportive funding and long term planning.

Oak woodland parks, such as Kuechmann Park on Old Rand Road are under  threat of development. The Foundation seeks to reverse this trend.

This "conservation area" at Breezewald park at one time was a prairie patch.  Neglect has taken it's toll and it is now a weed patch.  The Ancient Oaks Foundation would like to see it restored.
Eagle Scout Eric Auster designed and installed a butterfly garden at the Oak Ridge Marsh Nature Park.  The Ancient Oaks Foundation supported his efforts.

We are partnering with the VOLZ Community Services division to clear invasives and replant native wetland flowers and grasses.
The Ancient Oak Foundation wants to preserve these special oak trees so that they can reproduce.  Future generations can enjoy and benefit from these beautiful trees.
